3 Elements To Develop Your Personal Brand

Your Personal Brand is about the way you handle yourself in public and around your peers. It is your most visible credential and speaks a lot about your character.

To successfully provide yourself with an edge in today’s fiercely competitive market, every element of your professional career and image must be polished to perfection.. OK! "to almost perfection" :)

Starting with the ABCs, there are 3 main elements that make up your personal brand:

Appearance

  • Helps you to create an impact on others by the way you dress and hold your persona in public
  • When you dress for success you put yourself in the mindset for achieving your goals
  • So goes the wise old-saying “Always dress for the position you want to achieve”

Behaviour

  • Condition your inner-strength and confidence; it will reap you great rewards
  • Extend your confidence through various business and social protocols
  • Focus on your body language and its impact on other people

Communication

  • Improve your communication skills and rapport
  • Watch your style of communication, your voice, tone and pitch
  • If these are not working well for you, it’s time for some fine tuning! :)

Essentially, these 3 fundamental principles will help establish your credibility and trust among the people in your field. In addition, these three aspects are extremely important if you aim to manifest your personal goals and visions through your personal brand.
Creating your personal brand requires you to understand these elements and incorporate them in your personal style.

Not to miss, your extended image also includes your car, office, home, relationships, even accessories - these are also important attributes of your personal brand.

Hope these simple and effective tips will make you feel confident about working on your personal brand. However, if are not sure and would like more help, do write to us – contact@imageauthentique.com and our team of experts would be glad to help.

7 Quick Tips to Network Effectively

It is not only "what you know", but also "who you know" which is true in today's fast-paced competitive world - here are a 7 tips to help your gain confidence and turn contacts into contracts :)

1. Before attending a networking event, prepare!
Ask yourself basic questions like whom do you want to meet.
If possible, know who is on the guest list, research them.
Prepare some notes about yourself that you would want to share.. Always remember talk less, allow the other person to speak more!!

2. Arrive early
This will allow you to create a center of influence so that people gravitate towards you.
Somewhere close to the entrance is a good place to meet, greet.. to see and be seen!

3. Go with the intention of meeting 2 or 3 contacts
Ensure that you meet atleast 2 to 3 new contacts and get to know them well.

4. Make the most of your time there
Ensure that you have eaten well before the event so that you do not waste time in the queue for food/ drinks.
It is not a good idea to talk with your moth full or hold your drink in the left hand, so that you can shake with your right.

5. Avoid talking to those who you know well
Circulate and introduce yourself to others- plan your time well!

6. Remember- a genuine introduction
A smile, with eye contact, extend your arm and introduce yourself. Make it genuine and do not forget to carry your supply of business cards

7. Try remembering names
One of the best ideas to remember names is to use it during the conversation. Associate the name with someone you remember or someone with the same name.
Incase you forget someone's name, don't worry- simply say "I'm sorry, it's been one of the days I have gone blank. Please tell me your name again."

And finally enjoy your net-work.. and enjoy building your net-worth!! :)

Glam Up- With The Polka Dot Trend

The classic polka dot trend will never go out of fashion!
Since they’re not confined to one size, you can wear:
  • Wear big polka dots and go dramatic (if you are tall and above average built) or..
  • Choose smaller ones, stay subtle and sweet (if you are petite and small structured)

If you are embracing this timeless trend, make sure you don’t wear polka dots from head to toe.

If you’re wearing a polka-dotted dress, carry a simple matte bag and wear plain colored heels.

Wish to go funky? You could mix and match polka dots with some florals or stripes.

Some unique ways of sporting this trend is by including  it in your accessories.
A polka-dotted clutch or a polka dotted hair band will make your outfit look spunky. You may consider wearing these dots on your nails!

As far as makeup is concerned-
  • A cat eye look goes very well with polka dots, since they’re both retro and fun.
  • If you’re wearing black and white polka dots, a red lipstick will look good.
In either case, go easy on your other makeup!

So girls, embrace this classic print in your next outfit and bring out your Glam side!

Cheers!
